Hi darling! Great, to have you here on this page. So you want to know the secret of always looking good? I promise to spill all the beans and then some more.
The thing is I’m one of those people who is always looking good. Honestly all bragging shyness aside. I take serious ownership of my everyday look and I can confidently say that 6 out of 7 days in a week I am looking good.
Well the 7th day is probably right there along the 6th one too because chances are that I’m also looking good hahah….but I will tell you one thing. It is actually easier than most people think and at the end of this article I wil share a quick tip to achieve this with a video link you can watch.
Even before I went and won beauty pageants, came top 5 in some, and so on (I was around 16 when I did the first), I was a self professed fashionista or shall we say natural model. From as far back as age 6 i remember wearing my mom’s shoes, (no surprise there that mom and dad were also super stylish. I wore her clothes, bra and strutted around the house in the best cat walk that my younger self knew pretending in my head that I was Agbani Darego. If you don’t know Agbani then just Google her🙃🙂.
It didn’t help that my now late dad was always proudly singing “Agbani Darego and gliding angel in my ears” encouraging me to walk that walk and raise my head up, always. When kids watched cartoons, I sneakingly binged watched fstv aka fashion TV memorising every tip I could find on TV and on fashion magazines. Hahaha Anyway long story short, it all paid off because as an adult, it is really easy for me to pair up dress pieces stylishly on myself and others. The wonderful bonus for you dear reader is, I did the work for you. I will now share those tips both learned and the ones that come from my own creative juices which never stop flowing, so we all can look good. Let’s dive in shall we?
SO one of the most important things you can do to look good all the time is …wait for it…
BUY GOOD LOOKING CLOTHING!
Honestly, I cannot understand how people don’t do this enough and expect different fashionable results. It’s so simple and yet so many miss it. Always bear in mind and when shopping that a certain outfit MUST look good and shape you well or that you can get a tailor to do it.
If the answer is no leave that outfit on the shelf. Don’t buy it. What happens over time of doing this is that your wardrobe would be filled with beautiful or flattering pieces! The most important reason for practicing this TIP is that on the days where you are tired or unmotivated, you will still pick a cute outfit because that’s the only thing you entertain in your wardrobe anyway and you would still look good. First part of the problem solved on the road to how to look good every single day and feel confident.
Now some people at this point would ask “But I don’t know colours that look good on me shall I just buy any colour if the outfit is pretty. Well the answer is no and we will go into the details later in this series, just be sure to join our news letter and follow how social media handles.
A tip to take with you when shopping though is this-for a man stick with nudes or masculine colours like dark blue, gold, black, yellow, even white. For a lady stick with feminine colours like baby pink, lilac, pastel, torqouise, beige, nudes, floral patterns, red or even white. Another thing is that you can mix and match buy hehe I hear you saying. Maya how do I mix and match I mean I don’t know what fabrics to use. Some people end of mixing and coming out of their houses looking very funny or outdated when it’s not an old school party🙄😂.
