So you have probably heard about it or read about it somewhere. Many people swear by it, and others are getting ready to swear by it. What is a face mask though and why is it such a big deal? Even more important what face mask is best for you. This post will help you answer those questions.

For starters, a face mask is a cosmetic product or ingredient meant to be applied to the face to solve a number of problems. Popular face masks out there are meant to solve some of the common skin problems; Moisture, dryness, acne/pimples, wrinkles, hydration, anti-aging, youth rejuvenating, collagen plumping, pore tightening and face toner mask, and so much more. Some masks are even meant for hair which are also quite amazing but a separate post will feature the hair mask.

CHOOSING THE FACE MASK FOR YOU

Choosing the best mask for your skin issues is really simple. It is based on exactly what your skin is lacking so the first question would be what does your skin look like it needs. After observing your skin and possible problem areas you will be able to see what direction you need to go more clearly. We will recommend 2 easy to make at home natural masks that can be used for common problems.

Avocado Mask; This mask is great for dry skin or dry weather. If you live in minus 10 degrees for winter, or you have naturally dry skin, this is a great way to hydrate and plump up your skin. Even if your skin is oily or sensitive avocado can sooth it with its hydrating properties. Mix with a moisturizing oil like olive, coconut or avocado oil and apply. Leave on for some minutes and then rinse off. If you hate the messy process of buying Avocados and smashing on your face then you would love Enchanting Naturals Moisture Packed face mask, guaranteed to deliver the same result while cleaning out pimples as well.

ACNE CLEARING MASKS

The second most common problem people need a face mask for is acne or for people with very oily face. This mask is a mask that best detox’s the skin, reduces inflammation, removes dirt and goes deep to clear impurities and these features are found in a clay or charcoal mask. The challenge is getting clear clay that has not been diluted. Rhasoul, African-Moroccan or Indian clay is often a great product to be used. Enchanting Naturals also make an amazing toner/pimples clearing mask that tighten pores giving a glassy complexion that forbids pimples/acne from starting at all. You just need to find time from your busy schedule to purchase one from our online shop here or on Etsy/Amazon and use it.

To use a clay mask

You need to clean your pores and make sure it is clean by washing it.

Apply the mask to wet face and leave it to dry.

Let stay on skin for 5 to 2o minutes maximum then rinse off.

We encourage you to follow with a light moisturizer and where not available use moisturizing oils such as olive, coconut, grape seed or Argan oils lightly after.

And there you go all set to shine with your new glow.
